New Sound and Script Icons Soon printer friendly
Posted by Curt, at Friday 30 December 2011 - 21:43:45, in News
When I next get free time the next big update with the files will be default icons, as many of you know, when uploading a download you are asked for a screenshot, and with music and scripts this is virtually impossible (I mean how can you screenshot a music track!?!). So a little while ago (back when the site was dark blue!) I made two standardised screenshots defaults for music and scripts. I will probably take this further with other defaults, but importantly it is announcement of change from the old dark blue screenshots, I may also have a play with Admin/Moderator avatars.
Expect these very minor updates in the next few months.

FPS-Files Toolbar printer friendly
Posted by TeMpLaR, at Sunday 18 December 2011 - 19:22:52, in News
I have created a Toolbar for FPS-Files. It allows for easy access to our file database as well as displaying recent news and downloads. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
The Toolbar works for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

It can be downloaded here.

Also I have installed a new Chat System on FPS-Files which can be accessed through the toolbar by clicking the "Chat Room" button. If you do not have the toolbar you can access this new chat room here .

You need to be registered on FPS-Files in order to use the Chat Room.
New Look, New Hope printer friendly

Hi Everyone, as you can clearly notice FPS-Files has had been dressed up. I plan on trying to bring FPS-Files back to all its glory. Soon I will be looking around the FPS Creator forums for files lost within the forum and bringing them over here to keep them from being forgotten.

By saying that I am planning on being more active and may soon be planning on doing the HUD of the Month like I use to a long time ago. The site is beginning to be bare and with the lack of activity its depressing.

So be ready

A side-note from Curt:
I have noticed as of recent (especially with this new aesthetic re-design) Google Chrome and FPS-Files for myself has become more compatible with each other. Which means I can return to my old structure of daily visits (excluding most Tuesdays and Fridays) this will hopefully mean more administration will be taken care for, especially with focus on the User Request section which was implemented by myself originally with hope to stir a community response. I will also attempt with any remaining free time to upload any files that TeMpLaR has not found. But unlike TeMpLaR, I am less likely to limit the amount (due to the lack of time I can spend).

I hope that with the new pushes we create the new hope previously talked about by TeMpLaR will happen and the site may return to a shadow of its previous glory. I will help with any time I can obtain in my current schedule, and I hope the small and still active team of admins follow in suit.

FPS-Files is going social! printer friendly
Posted by Curt, at Thursday 04 August 2011 - 04:21:55, in News
FPS-Files is connecting to Facebook and using Google's brand new +1 feature. Take a look, a few bumps still need ironing out, however.

EDIT: Also with this update we have a new logo, I like it very much (thanking TeMpLaR of course)
